Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 10 years of progressively increased experience in business controlling & finance.
Proven experience in an industrial business environment, preferably with multinational operations.
Experience in managing a team and leading financial initiatives.
Skills:
Excellent communication and presentation skills, fluent in English (must).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis.
Advanced knowledge of Excel and ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
The Business Controller partners with the Vice President Region Europe and his team to grow the business and profitability of a market leading global industrial company with over EUR 300 million in sales across Europe including two major production plants.
The Business Controller plays a critical role in supporting decision-making processes and driving the financial performance (P&L and Cash Flow) of the European operations. She/He leads a team of six controllers covering the analysis of business performance and management reporting, budgeting, competitive analysis & decision support, investments, plant controlling, risk management, compliance with internal control & external financial regulations and more.
The European business controller reports to the global CFO.
